The monastery remains unfinished. The present construction plans center on building the permanent Chapel, finishing areas for the nuns and their guests and returning to their original intent the spaces used temporarily for other purposes.

The Friends of St. Dominic’s Monastery annually sponsor the Laetare Benefit on the 4th Sunday of Lent with a reception, dinner and angel auction in support of the Cloistered Dominican Nuns.
